The Crimson drew first blood midway through the first period as Jennifer Sifers moved into the Big Green zone cutting in front of the net and sliding a shot past
The second period was much like the first for the Big Green, as they again showed the strength of their power play squad. At 4:24, Weatherston cut to the net from behind the goal, finding Apps, who one-timed a shot over the head of Martin, giving the Big Green their first lead of the game.
After two Big Green penalties just after Apps' goal, the Crimson found themselves with a five-on-three power play. Using the two-man advantage, Harvard was able to work a back door into their offensive scheme, with Katie Johnston finally getting the goal that evened the score at twos.
Through the second period, Harvard out shot the Big Green, 24-17, with both teams' heading to the locker room with just 20 minutes to play.
In the final stanza, the Big Green dominated play, out shooting the Harvard, 18-5. All shots were turned away by the two goalies though, sending the contest into overtime.
The only time, before tonight,
Both team's had solid scoring chances in the overtime session, but neither could put the game away, leading to a, 2-2, tie.
The Big Green will skate against the Huskies of Connecticut tomorrow afternoon in
