The Big Green falls to 7-10 (1-2 Ivy) while the Bulldogs improve to 10-8 (3-1).
Yale opened the contest with back-to-back triples to take a 6-0 lead, but the Big Green stormed back to gain a 15-10 run spurred by seven points from senior guard Ashley Taylor (Cookeville, Tenn.). The Bulldogs answered back, taking a 24-19 lead at the 4:35 mark. The squads traded buckets for the remainder of the half, with Yale holding a 29-26 lead at the break.

Both teams struggled offensively during the next six minutes, but Schram nailed a huge triple to extend the Big Green lead to 49-46 at 4:09. Yale did not back down, however, and Stephanie Marciano back-to-back threes to give her team the 54-50 advantage it would hold for the rest of the game.
The squads traded buckets late, but the Bulldogs hit their free-throws to clinch the 63-56 victory.
The Big Green was led by Taylor, who finished with 22 points and seven rebounds while Schram had 11 points and four boards. Rose finished with nine rebounds and seven points and put forth an impressive defensive effort on Yale's post players.
Marciano led Yale with 22 points while Van Horne finished with 14.
The Big Green is back in action on Friday when it heads to Cornell for a 7:00 p.m. start.
