COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - After a strong showing at Air Force Classic, Dartmouth men's basketball forward
Alex Barnett (St. Louis, Mo.) was named to the all-tournament team.
A junior, Barnett led the Big Green to a 98-87 victory over VMI in the third-place game Saturday night. He had the fifth double-double of his career with 19 points and a personal-best 15 rebounds. He was 8-of-11 from the floor and also contributed two blocked shots, two steals and one assist.
In the opening round loss to the Falcons, 67-38, Barnett had eight points and two blocked shots.
The tournament MVP was Tim Anderson of Air Force. Joining Barnett on the all-tournament team were Andrew Henke, Air Force; Will Figures and Sean Taibi of Northern Colorado; and Reggie Williams of VMI. The Falcons won the tournament with a 71-62 victory over Northern Colorado.
Dartmouth (1-1) has its first home game of the season on Saturday, November 17, hosting James Madison at 7 p.m.
