The 55th ranked Dartmouth women's tennis team downed Florida Atlantic University 4-3 today in Boca Raton, Florida. The Big Green's record now stands at 8-1.
Dartmouth took the doubles point as two new teams made their triumphant debuts. Junior
Natalie O'Rourke and senior co-captain
Lindsay Winingham paired up for a win at No. 2, while junior
Maggie Suydam and senior co-captain
Kerry Snow teamed up for a victory at No. 3.
In singles, Snow and freshman
Jamie Caplan added two more points to the board, and
Lindsay Winingham clinched the match for the Big Green with a three-set victory at No. 3. With Dartmouth up 4-1, junior
Megan Zebroski played a super tie-breaker for the third set and was edged 10-7. Freshman
Jesse Adler was already in the third set, and was narrowly defeated 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.
The Big Green takes on #27 Florida International University tomorrow at 11 a.m. in Miami.
