Sophomore year (2006-07): ITA Scholar Athlete ... posted a 10-7 singles record ... went 7-2 at sixth singles throughout the spring ... Ivy League wins against Harvard and Columbia at No. 6 singles ... won the deciding match against No. 75 Furman ... also won at No. 6 singles against Minnesota, helping lead Dartmouth to a 4-3 victory over the No. 63-ranked Golden Gophers ... B Flight doubles quarterfinalist with Carley Markovitz at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center Women’s College Tennis Invitational.
Freshman (2005-06): ITA Scholar-Athlete Award winner ... won at No. 5 singles against Iowa ... beat Harvard’s Preethi Mukundan at No. 4 singles ... edged in three sets by Cornell (Nisha Suda) and Brown (Brett Finkelstein) ... D flight singles finalist at the Yale Invitational ... B flight singles finalist at the Big Green Invitational.
Before Dartmouth: USTA national ranking of No. 122 in 2004 ... ranked No. 10 in Mid-Atlantic section in 2004 ... 2004 Virginia state high school champion for Flint Hill High School in the Independent School League ... played No. 1 singles and was team MVP in 2001, 2003, and 2004 ... younger brother, David, plays on the Emory tennis team.
Why Dartmouth? One of the things that influenced me most in making my decision was that, even to this day, everyone I've talked to about Dartmouth always has such positive things to say about the college. It's pretty easy to see why, with the excellent academics, great athletic program, and the exceptionally close-knit community.
