Women's Tennis Drops Tight One at Cornell

ITHACA, N.Y. ? The No. 63 Dartmouth women's tennis team lost its second heartbreaker of the weekend with a 4-3 loss at Cornell. The Big Green won the doubles point and fifth and sixth singles matches before the contest came down to a three-set marathon at fourth singles. Cornell's Nisha Suda rallied after dropping the first set to Dartmouth senior Lindsay Winingham, earning the match-clinching point.

The Big Green falls to 8-6 overall and 0-2 in the Ivy League with the loss.

Dartmouth swept the doubles matches on the day, forcing Cornell to take
three wins in singles play for the team victory. The Big Red did just
that, scoring wins at each of the top four spots in the lineup.

The Dartmouth women are back in action on Friday when they host Princeton at 3:00 p.m.
