Big Green Pole Vaulters Shine at Princeton Invitational
PRINCETON, N.J. - Senior
Lilly Bertz (Southbury, Conn.) and sophomore
Natalie Todd-Zebell (Portland, Ore.) grabbed the top two spots in the pole vault as the Dartmouth women's track and field team competed at Princeton's Sam Howell Invitational on Saturday.
Bertz and Todd-Zebell both cleared 11-11 3/4, and the top spot went to Bertz on the basis of fewest misses.
The Big Green also enjoyed a three-second victory in the 4 x 400, clocking 4:01.23.
The quartet was made up of junior Kara Pydynkowski (Danvers, Mass.), freshman Natalie Stoll (Portland, Ore.), junior Cassandre Tanner (Baltimore, Md.) and sophomore
Karen Woolley (Herndon, Va.).
Stoll was second in the 200 meter dash with 26.68 and the 400 in 57.95 while Tanner took the second spot in the long jump at 17-11 3/4.
Senior
Jamila Smith (Memphis, Tenn.) also was the runner-up in the hammer, throwing 159-4, and finished third in the shot with 42-11 1/2.
Dartmouth is back in action on Saturday, April 14, competing at the Northeastern Invitational.
