Dartmouth junior
Alex Barnett (St. Louis, Mo.) was named to the second team as the Ivy League released its All-Ivy picks today for men's basketball.
Barnett, this year's Big Green MVP, led the Ivies in both defensive and overall rebounding, with 7.3 rebounds per game, and 5.56 per game on defense. With 15.6 points per game, Barnett was also third in the league in scoring, after first-team All-Ivy picks Mark McAndrew of Brown and John Baumann of Columbia.
With 420 points to his name during his junior year, Barnett was a huge factor in Dartmouth successes this season. The winner of Dartmouth basketball's Outstanding Rebounder award in addition to MVP, Barnett was a dominant presence on the floor and under the net. With a year still to play for the Big Green, Barnett's senior year should be exciting to watch.
