Saturday:
Sunny skies greated sailors for the second annual Nicholas Barnett Trophy. The breeze started out 3-5 out of the NW and built throughout the day with the last few races sailed in a spicy 20-25 knots. Courses were W4s, W5s, and W6s with a few triangles thrown in when the breeze was up.
Lots of great racing and more to come tomorrow.
Sunday:
Another great day of racing at Bethel Point. The breeze start out at 5-10 out of the SW and went W 10-15 as the day progressed. Course 4s were sailed all day. Lots of very close racing between the top 4 teams, with three points separating the top three teams going into the last race.
A big thanks to the Barnett Family for providing lots of great food for the event, Mark Dinneen '08 for running scores, Stuart MacNeil '08 for running the mark boat and dealing with breakdowns on the water, and all the Bowdoin undergrads for running the shore crew.
Congratulations to the Rhody Rams for winning the 2009 Barnett Trophy.
