HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth sailing wrapped up another successful weekend, taking fifth of 18 at the Women's Atlantic Coast Championship Final and sixth of 18 at the Captain Hurst Bowl, which Dartmouth hosted.
RESULTS
Captain Hurst Bowl (Hosted by Dartmouth)
Dartmouth sailing finished sixth of 18 teams at the 35th Captain Hurst Bowl, which the Big Green hosted Oct. 17-18, 2026. Unfavorable conditions prevented racing on Sunday, so the regatta ended after 10 races were completed on Saturday. Dartmouth finished with 150 points: 93 in A division and 57 in B division.
B division was Dartmouth's strength, as the team took third with 57 points. Only Stanford (48) and Brown (55) finished ahead. Skipper Turner Ryon and crew Alexander Donahue won the opening race. Sam de los Reyes took over as skipper for races 5-10 with Donahue on crew. The pair won races five and six, then followed with finishes of fifth, second, and third. That run helped secure the division's third-place finish.
A division started slowly but found its footing. Ben Sheppard skippered all 10 races, with Anna Connolly crewing the first two and Cooper Keeves crewing races 3-10. The team opened that stretch with finishes of sixth and fourth, then picked up second-place finishes in races 6 and 9.
Women's Atlantic Coast Championship Final (Hosted by St. Mary's College of Maryland)
Dartmouth women's sailing finished fifth of 18 teams at the Women's Atlantic Coast Championship Final, hosted by St. Mary's College of Maryland. The Big Green posted 216 points over 14 races in each division, with 114 in A and 102 in B.
Saturday was wet, cold, and windy, and the fleet completed 10 races in each division. Dartmouth sat ninth with 180 points, in the middle of a tightly bunched pack. The Big Green's best finish of the day was a win in B race 2.
Sunday was the turnaround. Over the final four races, Dartmouth scored just 36 points (19 in A and 17 in B), moving the team past Roger Williams, College of Charleston, Georgetown, and Tufts, all of which had been ahead after Saturday. The Big Green closed with a win in B race 13 and a win in A race 14, and added a second in B race 14.
In A division, Olivia Drulard skippered races 1-2 and 11-14, and Charlotte West skippered races 3-10. Lilly Baker crewed in every race, and the team finished seventh in the division. In B division, Alders Kulynych-Irvin and Grace Patterson sailed all 14 races and finished fifth.
