HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth sailing competed in two separate regattas during its fourth fall weekend of the year. The Big Green hosted the first round of the Women's Atlantic Coast Championship while also competing in the Danmark Trophy on the road at the United States Coast Guard Academy.
RACE RESULTS
In the Women's Atlantic Coast Championship, the duo of
Olivia Drulard (skipper) and
Kathryn McGranahan (crew) took seventh of 18 teams.
The top-10 finish was highlighted by a second-place finish in the 13th race of the day. Overall, Dartmouth cracked the top five in six different races.
Alders Kulynych-Irvin (skipper) and
Grace Patterson (crew) paired in the B Division. Two race wins were earned in the sixth and 11th races, contributing to the seven total top-five finishes.
At the Danmark Trophy, six different Dartmouth student-athletes took to the water to help the team to a seventh-place finish.
Chase Decker (skipper) and
Lilly Baker (crew) took home a race win while also taking second in the A Division.
For races one through eight,
Turner Ryon (skipper) and
Sage Sakowicz (crew) were in action before giving way to
Cooper Keeves (skipper) and
Alexander Donahue (crew). The quartet of Big Green participants helped Dartmouth to a seventh-place finish out of 19 teams.
Up Next:
Dartmouth will compete in three regattas next weekend: the Open Atlantic Coast Championship, the Stu Nelson Trophy, and the Hewitt Trophy. Competition will span Oct. 10-11 for all three events.
