Rookie Whitney Woodcox (Oshawa, Ont.) got her second start of the season and earned her first collegiate win, making 18 saves.
The Bears (1-5-3, 0-4-3 ECAC, 0-2-0 Ivy) saw goals from Erica Kroom and Alena Polenska and had four different skaters with assists. In net, Katie Jamieson took the loss, pushing aside an amazing 48 shots.
Dartmouth (3-3-1, 3-3-1 ECAC, 2-1-0 Ivy) didn't waste any time getting on the board as Dumais tallied her third goal of the season with the assist going to Nanji. The goal came on the Big Green's third shot of the game.
With 6:55 left in the first frame, Parsons struck with her second of the year to increase the lead to 2-0. Assisting on the play was Dumais and Trunzo.
Dartmouth dominated the opening frame, peppering Jamieson with 20 shots and earning two goals. The Big Green failed on its lone opportunity on a short power play after 4-on-4 action. Brown had a short chance with the extra skater and couldn't capitalize, but had an opportunity going into the second period.
Brown cut the lead to one at 2-1 with a goal from Kromm coming with 13:06 remaining in the second period. The Bears got assists from Jacquie Pierri and Paige Pyett on the play.
Parsons fired right back to put Dartmouth back up by a pair of goals with her second of the night. Freshman Lisa Berreman (Eagan, Minn.) earned her first collegiate point with an assist on the play with the other going to Dumais for her third point of the evening.
It didn't take long for the Bears to answer again as Polenska got Brown back to within one at 3-2. Laurie Jolin and Victoria Smith assisted on the goal with 7:29 left in the period.
The second period was more evenly played than the opening frame. Dartmouth had the edge in shots at 12-8 and each team had two chances with the extra skater and both schools killed off the penalties.
In the third period, Trunzo put Dartmouth up by two goals for the third time in the game with her team-leading fifth of the year, which ties her with Dumais. Parsons was involved in the goal with an assist, while Dumais continued to factor in each score for the Big Green. The freshman added her third assist of the game and fourth point.
Dartmouth closed out the game on the power play and increased the lead to 5-2 on a man advantage goal by Hobeika with her first of the season. Sophomore Erica Dobos (Bethel Park, Pa.) registered her first collegiate point on the play with an assist. Nanji also assisted on the score for her second of the night.
