ITHACA, N.Y. ? The eighth-ranked Dartmouth women's hockey team came back from two goals down in the final period of play, but could not get over the final hurdle as the Big Green settled for a 3-3 tie against Cornell on Saturday evening.
For Dartmouth (16-7-3, 13-4-3 ECAC, 7-2-1 Ivy), senior Julia
Bronson (Arlington, Va.) posted a two-point night with a power play goal and an
assist, while classmate Maggie Kennedy (West Hartford, Conn.) recorded a pair

For Cornell (11-11-5, 7-8-5 ECAC), Emma Chipman led the way with a goal and an assists and Catherine White posted a pair of helpers in the tie. Rebecca Johnston and Liz Zorn were the other two scorers for the Big Red and Jenny Niesluchowski settled for the tie with 34 saves between the pipes.
Cornell broke the ice in the opening period with just under four minutes remaining to take a 1-0 lead. Chipman was given the goal with White and Chelsea Karpenko earning the assists.

Cornell increased its lead back to two goals with 12:47 left in the final period as Zorn netted the Big Red's third goal of the night with the assists going to Kaylee Overguard and Chipman.
The Big Green, however, kept fighting and with 8:55
remaining in the period, Trunzo cut the lead back to one at 3-2 with her
team-leading ninth power play goal of the season. Kennedy and Bronson were
credited for the assist.
