
Big Green Men's Tennis Routs Marist

HANOVER, N.H. - Dartmouth ended a two match skid with a 6-1 victory over the Red Fox of Marist.
Dartmouth's top-seeded doubles team of Dan Freeman (Chatsworth, Calif.) and Stephen Greif (San Antonio, Texas) got the Green going early with a 8-3 victory. Justin Tzou (Cupertino, Calif.) teamed with Curtis Roby (New York, N.Y.) earned the doubles point for Dartmouth with a win in the second second seed. Freshman Michael Laser (Glencoe, Ill.) and Chris Ho (Los Altos, Calif.) gave the Green the doubles sweep with a win in the final doubles match of the evening.
Dartmouth's singles team continued the dominance of Marist, winning five of the six individual matches. Freeman continues his solid defense of the top seed with a straight set victory, followed by Roby making the score 3-0 in favor of the Green. Freshman Andrew Malizia (Chapel Hill, N.C.) finished off the Red Foxes with a 6-4, 6-4 victory and securing the fourth point. Stephen Greif kept his winning streak alive with a 4th straight victory as the fourth seed. Ho won the final point for the Green as the team finished with a 6-1 victory.
Dartmouth improves its season record to 2-4 on the season. The Green return to action February 24 when Boston College comes to Hanover for a 6:00 match.
