Before Dartmouth: Andrew, from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, was a successful junior player from the Southern section. He was ranked in the top 10 in the South in both the 16's and 18's. Tennisrecruiting.net ranked him as the number 67 recruit in the nation of the high school class of 2008.
Andrew was also the captain of his high school tennis team and played number 1 singles and doubles as a senior. He was the North Carolina High School State singles runner up in 2008.
Freshman year: Andrew posted an 8-8 singles record his freshman year going 3-3 at #6 singles for the Big Green. He had significant wins over Columbia and UNC-Greensboro and also was the champion of the 4th flight of the Dartmouth invitational in October.
Andrew is the son of Emil and Deborah Malizia and he has two sisters. His father, Emil, played golf at the Rutgers.
