CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Dartmouth men's tennis competed at the ITA New England Regionals, hosted at Harvard University, beginning on Thursday, Oct. 8.
Enrique Collar recorded a team-best of four singles victories and
Kornel Halmos had two singles victories through the tournament.
On the first day of ITA New England Regionals, the Big Green picked up five victories in singles.
Enrique Collar picked up two victories in singles, against Adrian Daniel of Le Moyne, 6-3, 3-2 (ret.) and against Theo Murphy of Brown, 1-6, 7-6 (3), 10-8.
Calvin Wang defeated Michael Malkin of Buffalo 6-2, 6-7 (3) 10-8.
Malhar Patel defeated Callum Matthew of Le Moyne, 6-3, 7-5.
Puthi Pantaratorn defeated Toby Luo of Brown, 6-2, 6-7 (5).
On the second day of competition, Dartmouth recorded seven total victories, with two of them coming from doubles play and five victories coming from singles play.
Enrique Collar continued his unbeaten streak in singles, with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Lochlan Seth of Cornell.
Dillon Beckles defeated Benjamin Beaudry of Stonehill, 6-2, 6-1.
Kornel Halmos defeated Evan Sharygin of Harvard in a three-set thriller, 0-6, 6-2, 6-4.
Leo Pade recorded a three-set battle victory over Ethan Chung of Yale, 6-2, 5-7, 6-4.
Denny Bao defeated Payton Jim-On of Boston University, 6-1, 6-2.
In doubles,
Adrian Treacy and
Malhar Patel defeated Bryant, 8-2.
Denny Bao and
Puthi Pantaratorn defeated Boston University, 8-3.
On the third day of competition, Dartmouth picked up two singles victories.
Leo Pade defeated David Cristian Carteputreda of Cornell, due to a withdraw.
Kornel Halmos defeated Mathis Salvestre of Buffalo, 6-4, 2-6, 6-1.
