Men's Tennis
vs Dartmouth Invite #1

HANOVER, N.H. - The Dartmouth men's tennis team started strong again yesterday with a solid doubles performance from sophomore Curtis Roby (New York, N.Y.) and senior captain Ari Gayer (Hollis, N.Y.) at the No. 2 spot and junior Justin Tzou (Cupertino, Calif.) and junior Dan Freeman (Chatsworth, Calif.) at No 3, but the Big Green couldn't hold on in singles and lost 6-1 to Harvard.
The singles did not fare so well with Freeman cramping at 6-6 in the first set and having to retire. Both Tzou and Gayer played great second sets, but not quite good enough to bring home a singles victory as the Crimson defeated the Big Green in the season finale.
“This was a young team that made lots of improvement over the course of the season,” said head coach Chuck Kinyon. “For those that got to see us play this season I believe were impressed with their competitiveness and high level of play. We will miss our captain, Ari Gayer ?09, who will graduate this June with a degree in economics.
