
Molly Khalil Named to the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division I All-Region Team

HANOVER, N.H. - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association has announced the
Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division I All-Region teams, honoring
student-athletes from 10 NFCA regions. A total of 264 players from 121
different institutions comprise the regional teams as Dartmouth freshman Molly Khalil (Seal Beach, Calif.) was one of just two Ivy Leaguers to earn a spot in the East Region.
The all-region teams were chosen by NFCA member coaches from each
region, and all the honorees will now be eligible for selection to the
Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-America first, second or third teams.
Khalil was chosen after being named first team All-Ivy, Dartmouth's first in two years. She played in 45 games and batted. 309 in league contests along with a team-best 20 RBIs in Ivy play. Overall she was third on the team in batting as she racked up the extra-base hits with nine doubles and five home runs. In Ivy games she had three homers as she had a slugging percentage of .515 and an on-base percentage of .351. Overall she was third with a .296 average and had a team-leading 33 RBIs. Khalil racked up the hits with 42 and her five home runs are third on the season charts.
