HANOVER, N.H. — Comcast and the University of Pennsylvania announced last week that the football game hosted by the Quakers against the Dartmouth Big Green on Oct. 2 will be aired by the local cable network at 3:30 p.m. It will be the first of two scheduled televised Big Green games during the 2010 season, joining the contest against Brown at Dartmouth's Memorial Field on Nov. 13 at noon to be aired by VERSUS.
This will be the eighth time Dartmouth and Penn will square off in a televised game, but the Quakers have won each of the first seven dating back to 1983. Penn leads the all-time series between the two schools on the gridiron, 43-32-2.
Entering the season, Dartmouth has played a total of 69 times in a televised game, sporting a 24-44-1 mark. The Big Green are making at least one appearance on TV for the 27th season out of the last 28, including the last 17 years consecutively.
The 2010 Dartmouth season begins on Sept. 18 at Bucknell at 1 p.m.
