HANOVER, N.H.—Dartmouth football closed out spring camp on Saturday with its annual spring game. Due to weather the game was played inside the Graham Indoor Practice Facility.
Robert L. Blackman Head Football Coach, Sammy McCorkle was thankful for the supporters that were able to attend. "We appreciated all the families and supporters that attended our scrimmage yesterday. I thought our team ended the spring on a high note. Both sides of the ball played with max effort and a sense of urgency."
The Big Green used spring camp to get adjusted to multiple new members on the coaching staff and the adjustments showed on Saturday.
"The offense had a few explosive plays, the defense flew around to the ball, and the offensive and defensive lines battled up front the entire scrimmage."
Dartmouth will now turn its attention to preparing for the 2026 season. The Big Green open the season against Lehigh in Bethlehem, Pa. on Saturday, Sept. 19. Dartmouth hosts Monmouth for the first time in program history in their home opener on Saturday, Sept. 26.
The Big Green also named their captains on Saturday, senior quarterback Grayson Saunier, senior defensive lineman Joshua Johnson, and senior Harrison Keith were named captains. Saunier has played in 20 games over the last two seasons while making 12 starts and throwing for 2,676 yards and 14 touchdowns while rushing for 19 touchdowns and 644 yards. Johnson has played in 21 games while making 25 total tackles over the last two seasons. Keith has made 11 starts while playing 19 games on the Big Green defense, he has made 56 tackles while snagging four interceptions.
"With spring practice now finished, it's time for our players to ramp it up in the weight room, focusing on development, taking this team to the next level, and preparing for fall camp."
