HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth women's track and field team hosted Maine and Vermont on Saturday, and the Big Green took the top spot with multiple first-place finishers. Dartmouth finished with 72 points, Maine was second with 53 points and Vermont finished third with 46 points.
Senior Christina Alexander (Austin, Texas) was one of two Big Green athlete to win two events. Alexander took the top spot in the weight throw with a mark of 15.34 meters, and she bested the competition in the shot put with a throw of 12.59 meters. Freshman Janae Dunchack (Northern Cambria, Pa.) also earned two first place finishes. In the high jump, she took the top spot at 1.68 meters, and she won the 200 at 26.37. Junior Malina Simmers (Anchorage, Alaska) continued the success in the field events, winning the triple jump at 11.60 meters.
In the running events, sophomore Caroline Buck (Winter Park, Fla.) won the 500-meter run at 1:19.97 and freshman Megan Krumpoch (Shrewsbury, Mass.) won the 400 at 58.25.
Dartmouth returns to action when it competes against Columbia and Yale in New York on Saturday, Jan. 22.
