PROVIDENCE, R.I. —The Dartmouth women's hockey team earned a 6-0 victory at Brown on Saturday. Sophomore Camille Dumais (Beaconsfield, Que.) led the Big Green with her first career hat trick. Dartmouth improved to 14-8-0 overall, 10-6-0 in the ECAC and 5-3-0 in the Ivy League. Brown dropped to 2-16-3 overall and 1-10-3 in the ECAC.
Dumais started her career night with a goal 1:01 into the game. Sophomore Lisa Berreman (Eagan, Minn.) assisted on the goal. On Dartmouth's second goal, senior Amanda Trunzo (Andonver, Minn.) found the back of the net with five minutes remaining in the second period. Dumais assisted on the goal for her team-leading 14th assist. The Big Green entered the third period with a 2-0 lead, before erupting for four goals in the third period.
Dartmouth struck 1:05 into the third period on Dumais second goal of the contest. Trunzo and sophomore Sally Komarek (Minneapolis, Minn.) assisted on the goal. Dumais scored her third goal six minutes later for the hat trick. Again, Trunzo assisted on the goal. The Big Green added two more goals in the final two minutes. Komarek recorded her fifth goal of the season with 1:10 remaining in the game, and Trunzo scored unassisted with eight seconds remaining in the game.
On the night, Dumais had three goals and one assist for four points. She now has 11 goals on the season. Trunzo's also had a stellar evening. She scored two goals and tallied two assists for four points. She now has 13 goals on the season and 11 assists.
Freshman Lindsay Holdcroft (Pittsburgh, Pa.) recorded her third career shutout, and second in three games. She made 26 saves to improve to 10-5-0 on the season. Each team committed four penalties. The Big Green were 1-or-4 on the power play. The win was the fifth in a row for Dartmouth.
The Big Green return home to play Quinnipiac on Friday, Feb. 4, at 7 p.m.
