NEW YORK, N.Y. — Just a week after losing to St Johns at the ECAC's the Dartmouth men's tennis team went
into New York for a rematch against the Red Storm at the USTA National
Tennis Center. St Johns was in good form coming off a win against #68
Binghamton just the day before, but the Big Green were determined to
avenge their previous defeat and managed a 5-2 victory.
Dartmouth earned the doubles point by sweeping all three matches. In singles, sophomore
Xander Centenari (Towson, Md.), was the only Big Green athlete to win in straight sets. Senior
Curtis Roby (New York, N.Y.), senior
Stephen Greif (San Antonio, Texas) and junior
Chris Ho (Los Altos, Calif.) won in three sets.
The
team is back in action at home at the Boss Tennis Center on Saturday against Boston University and on Sunday against Farleigh Dickinson.
