Women's Track & Field has Eight Qualify for NCAA Regional

HANOVER, N.H. — The NCAA announced the qualifiers on Thursday for the women's track and field NCAA Regional meet, and Dartmouth earned eight participants. The East Regional will be held at Indiana University on May 26-28.

The athletes representing the Big Green at the East Regional will be freshman Abbey D'Agostino (Topsfield, Mass.) in the 5,000 meters, freshman Caitie Meyer (Weston, Mass.) in the 10,000 meters, junior Alexi Pappas (Alameda, Calif.) in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, senior Malina Simmers (Anchorage, Alaska) in the triple jump, junior Christina Supino (Windham, N.H.) in the 800 meters, senior Alex Tanner (Baltimore, Md.) in the 400-meter hurdles, freshman Arianna Vailas (Manchester, N.H.) in the 1,500 meters and senior Jaclyn Wypler (Ridgewood, N.J.) in the javelin.

There are 48 athletes at each event in the regional with the top 12 finishers in each event qualifying for the NCAA Championship in Des Moines, Iowa on June 8-11.
