HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth College Athletics Department has partnered with Northeast Sports Network (NSN) to bring an enhanced video stream to Big Green football fans this season. The video broadcasts online at DartmouthSports.com will be available in high-definition with multiple camera angles, instant replay and graphical elements, paired with the professional commentary that will include veteran broadcaster Dick Lutsk along with longtime analyst Wayne Young.
NSN has provided television production quality for the online video streams for several college and universities in New England, including the University of Vermont. Last winter, the company produced the live video feed of the NCAA Skiing Championships in Stowe, Vt., with terrific success.
“We are excited about greatly enhancing our football fans' viewing experience online for our five home games this year,” stated Dartmouth Athletics Director
Harry Sheehy. “This will enable us to highlight the football program and facility to Dartmouth friends and alumni all over the world. We are truly excited about the improved viewing experience.”
The web hosting company for Dartmouth athletics, NeuLion, will also provide an upgraded viewer for fans with up-to-date statistics around the viewing area, including play-by-play. To purchase the football package, or an all-sports package that includes football, fans can visit the official web site of Dartmouth athletics, DartmouthSports.com, and click on
Big Green Insider. The football package is $39.95 to view all home games live and on-demand, while the all-sports package for the entire school year is just $79.95.
Lutsk joins the Dartmouth Sports Network broadcasting team with over 40 years of local and regional radio broadcasting experience in New England. He can currently be heard on the airwaves describing the action for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats as they wrap up their season with playoff action. He has broadcast football at the University of New Hampshire, Boston College and most recently Harvard on cable, not to mention arena football for the Manchester Wolves. In addition, from 1990-95, Lutsk served as the pre- and postgame host for the Red Sox on Boston's WRKO/WEEI.
Lutsk will provide the play-by-play commentary for the football games, pairing up with Wayne Young, Dartmouth Class of 1972, who has been the analyst on the football broadcasts for the past 11 years. Dave Collins will continue to host the pre- and postgame shows every Saturday.
Fans can listen to all of the Big Green football action locally on WFRD 99.3 FM or around the world online at DartmouthSports.com. Dartmouth opens its season at home on Saturday when Colgate (1-1) comes to Memorial Field with kickoff set for 1:30 p.m.
