CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Behind the doubles play of rookies Justin Chan and Brendan Tannenbaum, the Dartmouth men's tennis team had a solid showing at the Crimson Halloween Invite over the weekend. Posting a 2-1 record in doubles play, the pair won the Backdraw Finals, 8-5 over Army. The duo also defeated BU, 8-1 in the semifinals.
In singles action, the Big Green went 3-5 overall. Chan won his first Flight A singles match, downing Brown's Justin To (6-3, 6-1), before falling in the second round to Harvard's Shaun Chaudhuri (6-4, 6-4). Tannenbaum picked up two wins in the backdraw.
Sophomore Andres Isaza also competed for Dartmouth, going 0-2 in singles action on the weekend. He lost a tough third set, 7-6 to Army's Harrison McCormick in Flight B First Round.
The Big Green return to the court Nov. 2-4 for the Gopher Invitational in Minneapolis.
