The Dartmouth women's basketball team returns to Leede Arena for its lone Ivy League weekend in the month of February. The Big Green welcome Princeton for the annual "Play4Kay" pink game on Friday at 7 p.m. and close the weekend with Penn on Saturday at 7 p.m.

1. Freshman center Tia Dawson earned her second Rookie of
the Week award. She earned the award for her 15 points and 11 rebounds in
Dartmouth's win over Columbia. Her double-double was her third of the season,
which is tops among Big Green players.
2. Dartmouth is having its annual "Play4Kay" (formerly Pink Zone) game on Friday (Feb. 10) when Princeton comes to town. The Big Green players will don pink warm up shirts and encourage all fans in attendance to wear pink.
3. Dartmouth snapped its 13-game losing streak with a 59-44 win at Columbia on Friday (Feb. 3). The 13-game streak was the longest losing streak in program history. Prior to that streak, the longest streak with seven games on two occasions.
4. Dartmouth is looking for its first win at Leede Arena when Princeton and Penn come to town. The Big Green is 0-8 at Leede Arena this season. Dartmouth has only had seven losing home seasons in 39 seasons.
5. The Big Green are looking to snap a four-game win streak to two-time defending Ivy League champion, Princeton. Dartmouth hasn't defeated Princeton since the 2008-09 season, en route to its 17th Ivy League Championship.

-Dartmouth and Princeton will be meeting for the 67th time
in Friday's game. The Big Green own a 43-23 series advantage but hasn't
defeated the Tigers since the 2008-09 season, dropping its last four games to
the Tigers.
-Princeton head coach Courtney Banghart is very familiar with Dartmouth. Banghart played for Chris Wielgus from 1996-00 and led the Big Green to back-to-back NCAA Tournament's in 1999 and 2000. She was also a teammate of assistant coach Erin Rewalt. Banghart, a New Hampshire native, also spent four years, 2003-07, as an assistant at Dartmouth.

Saturday. The Big Green leads the series, 42-23. Last season the teams split in
regular season action. The teams have split meetings each of the last two
seasons.
-Dartmouth and Penn have one common opponent in St. Joseph's. Both teams dropped contests to the Hawks earlier this season.
A Win Would ...
1. Give Dartmouth its first win at home this season. Dartmouth
hasn't won a home game since defeating Columbia on Feb. 19, 2011. Dating back
to last season, Dartmouth has dropped 11 consecutive home games.
2. A win over Princeton would snap the Big Green's four-game losing streak to the two-time defending Ivy League champions. The Big Green hasn't defeated Princeton since the 2008-09 season. That season, a combined five points decided both games.
3. Give the Big Green a chance to pick up two Ivy League wins. Last season, Dartmouth only won three Ivy League games, the fewest Ivy League wins since the 1977-78 season when the Big Green were 0-5 in league action. Should Dartmouth win twice this weekend, they will tie its win total from a year ago.
Scouting Princeton
Princeton enters the weekend as the team to beat in the Ivy
League. The two-time defending champion, have a 15-4, 5-0 Ivy League record,
entering games with the Big Green and Harvard this weekend. Prior to this
weekend, the Tigers defeated Yale, 72-47, and Brown, 57-45. This weekend's
games mark the first true Ivy League weekend for Princeton as they have played
four of their five Ivy League contests at home with their lone away game at
Penn. The Tigers are winners of their last eight games and have been defeating
Ivy League opponents by an average of 32.0 points per game. Niveen Rasheed is
leading the Tiger offense and is averaging 16.7 points per game. Lauren Edwards
joins Rasheed in double figures with 10.4 points per game while Devona Allgood
is nearing ten points with 9.4 points per game. Rasheed is also Princeton's
leading rebounder with 9.1 rebounds per game.
The Big Green and Tigers have a common opponent in St. Joseph's.
Princeton defeated the Hawks in their season opener, while Dartmouth dropped
their contest to St. Joseph's. Princeton
head coach Courtney Banghart is very familiar with Dartmouth and Leede Arena as
she spent her collegiate playing days at Dartmouth and also spent time as an
assistant coach before taking over at Princeton.
Scouting Penn
Penn enters Saturday's contest with an 8-11, 1-4* Ivy League
record after an overtime, 59-55, loss to Brown on February 4. The Quakers and Big Green are tied in the Ivy
League standings at 1-4 entering this weekend's games. Penn has dropped each of
its last three contests. This weekend will also mark the first Ivy League road
games for Penn. The Quakers have played each of their games at the
Palestra. Alyssa Baron who is averaging
15.9 points per game and is the lone Penn player in double figures leads the
Quakers. Kara Bonenberger leads things on the defensive side with 6.2 rebounds
per game and is nearing double figure scoring with 8.6 points per game. The Big
Green and Quakers have taken on one common opponent in St. Joseph's, both teams
dropped contests to the Hawks. Penn is one of three teams that the Big Green
defeated in Ivy League action last season and with a win the Big Green will
have won two straight over the Quakers. Penn head coach Mike McLaughlin is in
his third season at the helm of the Quakers. McLaughlin come from Holy Family where
he was the fastest women's basketball coach to reach 400 victories. *Penn will take on Harvard before playing
Dartmouth on Saturday. All statistics are from prior to the Harvard game.
