Peter Williamson Earns All-America Scholar Recognition

HANOVER, N.H. - Peter Williamson, a former standout on the Dartmouth men's team, has been named a Division I Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

A three-time Academic All-Ivy student-athlete, this GCAA honor marks Williamson's first national accolade recognizing his academic successes in the classroom.

To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 70-percent of his team's competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships, have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I, 78.0 in Division II, 77.0 in NAIA and 79.0 in Division III, and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.

A 2012 graduate, Williamson earned a cumulative GPA of 3.32 while working towards a degree in studio art

No stranger to individual recognition, Williamson earned his third Ivy League title in his final season with the team, a year that has also saw him earn All-America and all-region honors as well as being named the New England Player of the Year by a collection of the area's collegiate head coaches.

Since graduation, Williamson has already won two well-known tournaments with victories at the Southern Amateur Championship last weekend and the North & South Amateur Championship earlier in July.
