HANOVER, N.H. - The Dartmouth men's tennis team picked up its first win of the season, topping Old Dominion, 4-3, at the Boss Tennis Center and Gordon Pavilion.
The Big Green are now 1-2 on the young season, while the Monarchs fall to 3-2.
The Green and White got off to a fast start, taking two of the three doubles matches. The duo of Brandon DeBot and Xander Centenari won their match at No. 2 doubles, 8-5, to move to a perfect 3-0 on the season. At No. 1 doubles, Cameron Ghorbani and Brendan Tannenbaum rallied from a 3-6 deficit to win, 8-7.
Chris Kipouras and Erik Nordahl won their matches at No. 3 and No. 4 singles to clinch the victory for Dartmouth. Kipouras cruised past Jonas Kuwert in straight sets, while Nordahl scored a 0-6, 6-4, 6-1 come-from-behind victory.
Dartmouth returns to action on Feb. 3, as it travels to Bloomington to take on Indiana at 10 a.m.
