Gribbin and Shapiro Represent Big Green Women at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA – The Dartmouth women's track & field team team continued its weekend at the 119th Penn Relays at Franklin Field with a pair of competitors representing the Big Green on Friday.
Freshman Mollie Gribbin ran in the 100m and took to the pit in the triple jump. Gribbin finished the sprint event in 12.22 to earn a 24th-place finish, while taking eighth in the collegiate division of the triple jump. The rookie's best attempt was measured at 39-8.75/12.11m.
In another division of the triple jump, freshman Molly Shapiro was 19th with a measured distance of 37-1.0/11.30m.
Those members of the women's team who did not make the trip to Philadelphia will compete Saturday at the UMass Invitational in Amherst as the final tune-up for the Ivy League Heptagonal Championship meet next weekend at Princeton.
