Men's Soccer All-Ivy: Second-year head coach Chad Riley was named the Ivy League Coach of the Year and seven members of the Dartmouth men's soccer team received All-Ivy status, as announced by the league office on Wednesday evening. Seniors Alex Adelabu, Gabe Hoffman-Johnson and junior keeper Stefan Cleveland were selected to the first team, while seniors Stefan Defregger and Colin Heffron were tabbed second team honorees. Freshmen Wyatt Omsberg and Matt Danilack received honorable mention status after a superb rookie season in Hanover.
Adelabu Named Ivy League Player of the Week: Senior Alex Adelabu picked up his second Ivy League Player of the Week award as the regular season concluded over the weekend, the Ivy League announced on Monday. Adelabu led the Big Green with five points in the 3-0 win over Brown on Saturday night. The Houston, Texas native scored a pair of goals and was credited with an assist on classmate Tommy Johnson's goal late in the contest.
All-Time Record vs. Fordham: This will be the second all-time meeting between the two schools, as Dartmouth defeated the Rams earlier this season, handing them a 2-0 loss on Sept. 27.
Scouting Fordham: The Fordham men's soccer team is back in the NCAA Championship for the second time in team history, earning the Atlantic 10's automatic bid. The Rams previous appearance in the NCAA tournament came in 1996, when they defeating Loyola (Md.), 3-2, in the NCAA Play-In Game, before falling to eventual national champion, St. John's, 5-1. Fordham has three representatives on the All-Atlantic 10. Senior forward Andres Penfold was named First Team All-Atlantic 10, while Aleksandar Mastilovic earned Second Team All-Atlantic 10 accolades. Forward Jannik Loebe was also selected to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie team. Keeper Sean Brailey finished with a 0.91 goals against average and a 0.826 save percentage.
