Their efforts are rewarded by being named the Northeast Credit Union Athletes of the Week.
Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Northeast Credit Union Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.
Ali Savage, Sr., F, New South Wales, Orange, Australia, Field Hockey
The team's tri-captain had a stellar weekend with four goals and nine points, helping Dartmouth to a weekend sweep of Brown and Bryant. Against the Bears, Savage scored twice and assisted on another for a four-point performance, helping her reach the century mark in scoring with her 100th career point coming on the second-half assist. She added another pair of goals Sunday against the Bulldogs, including the OT winner. That game-winning tally was the 42nd of her career, moving her all alone into third place all-time in program history. For her efforts, the Ivy League rewarded Savage by naming her the Player of the Week for the seventh time in her career.
Stefan Cleveland, Jr. Dayton, Ohio, GK, Soccer
Junior keeper Stefan Cleveland finished the week with a 1-0-1 record, helping the men's soccer team defeat Fordham on Saturday afternoon. Cleveland made six saves over two games and made a game-saving stop in overtime on a penalty kick against Holy Cross. So far this season, Cleveland is 2-0 at Burnham field with two shutouts.
