HANOVER, N.H. – The No. 50 Dartmouth men's tennis team will travel to a very snowy Boston for the ECAC Men's Indoor Tennis Championship, which will be hosted Friday through Sunday, Feb. 13-16 at Harvard's Murr Tennis Center.
Dartmouth is the No. 2 seed in the 10-team tournament and will open play on Saturday, Feb. 14 in the quarterfinal against the winner of the No. 7 St. John's No. 10 Monmouth match the day before.
St. John's, Monmouth and George Washington join seven Ivy League teams in the field this weekend. Host Crimson were picked as the top-seed and are followed by Dartmouth, Penn, Princeton and Cornell.
Junior Dovydas Sakinis is the highest ranked player at the tournament, heading into the weekend at No. 60 in the nation, while senior Chris Kipouras is 93rd. Paired together for doubles, the duo has moved up to 16th.
Dartmouth opened 2015 with three consecutive wins, defeating Buffalo, Bryant and No. 66 Denver at the Boss Tennis Center. After that, the Green dropped three and are currently sitting at 3-3 heading into this tournament. Two weekends ago, Dartmouth had a 6-1 loss to No. 46 Minnesota before falling in a close match to No. 38 Drake, 4-3.
All matches will be streamed live on the Ivy League Digital Network.
