BOSTON — The No. 9 Dartmouth women's squash team finished the season with a 6-3 deficit to No. 10 Stanford in the championship game of the Kurtz Cup on Sunday afternoon at Harvard.
Stanford won five of the first six contests to take the Kurtz Cup. The lone Dartmouth win during the span was from freshman Rebecca Brownell. Senior Sarah Caughey and freshman Zainab Molani also picked up match wins for the Big Green in a pair of fifth-game contests.
Caughey battled back from a 2-1 deficit after winning the opening game. Molani led 2-0 before her opponent Carolyn Gillette won the next two games forcing the decisive finish.
The CSA Women's Individual Championships are Feb. 27 through March 1.
