Senior (2017-18): Competed in all 17 matches at the No. 3 position in the first week of play and then No. 2 the rest of the season … won six matches, against George Washington, Franklin and Marshall, Middlebury, Williams and Stanford … helped her team to the finals of the Kurtz Cup after taking two wins … went on to compete at the CSA Individual Championships where she took away one win.
Junior (2016-17): Competed in 14 matches total at the No. 4 and No. 5 position…Competed in one match at Yale (2/10) at the No. 3 position….Won six matches including her final three of the season including the game-winner to propel Dartmouth to a Kurtz Cup title.
Sophomore (2015-16): Competed in the No. 3 and No. 2 positions…Won eight matches and finished the season winning four consecutive matches…Represented the Big Green at the CSA Individual Championships where she advanced to the second round.
Freshman (2014-15): Finished 10-6 in her freshman season and competed at the No. 6, No. 7 and No. 8 positions … Went 3-1 at No. 7 and 6-4 at No. 8 … Won eight of her matches in three-straight sets.
Before Dartmouth: Ranked No. 26 in the United States as a senior, Brownell was a four-year letterwinner and was the team captain as a senior. Brownell won the Cutler Cup as the Most Dedicated player at Noble & Greenough, aided her team to a fourth-place ranking in the country at nationals and won the ISL Championship.
Personal: Daughter of Robert and Christina Brownell … Her mom Christina is a 1987 graduate of Dartmouth and was a former coach of the women’s team … Has one brother and one sister …Plans to study government and history.
