HANOVER, N.H. – For the third time this season, Leverone Field House played host to an indoor meet as Saturday brought in numerous teams from across the region for the Dartmouth Classic.
The Big Green women posted five individual event victories as part of the non-scoring meet.
In all five wins, Dartmouth claimed the top two spots in the results. In the finals of the 60m hurdles, senior Lauren Ready (8.97) and freshman Allison Frantz (8.98) were separated by just one-hundredth of a second, while the 60m dash final saw juniors Kaitlin Whitehorn (7.65) and Sara Kikut (7.76) post times that were different by just over a tenth of a second.
In the 400m, sophomores Kathleen Sprout (58.53) and Aliyah Gallup (1:00.65) went 1-2, while classmate Maria Jarostchuk (1:01.39) claimed fourth. The same pattern held true in the pole vault as junior Stephanie Brown (11-6.25/3.51m) and Marina Plesons (11-6.25/3.51m) held the top two spots with junior Kaitlin McCallum (11-0.25/3.36m) fourth.
Dartmouth's 4x400m relay teams also were also first, second and fourth, respectively, on Saturday afternoon. The three quartets posted respective times of 3:53.67, 3:59.96 and 4:07.13.
Freshman Bridget Douglas took the top spot in the weight throw with a 49-5.75/15.08m on her fourth throw of the day.
