Yale Preview — When taking a look at Yale's schedule this season, a pair of synonyms reign over the page, canceled and postponed. The harsh winter has not been friendly to the Elis, who have had 13 contests halted by Mother Nature. The Bulldogs are 2-4 in league play and 3-3 over the past six games. Camille Weisenbach leads the team hitting .400 with 22 hits, and 14 runs batted in. As a team, Yale is hitting .253 with a few starters teetering around the Mendoza line. Francesca Casalino and Lindsay Efflandt will start inside the circle as the duo is 7-12 combined, but Casalino has a 1.91 earned run average.
Series Record — The Big Green hold a 33-21 advantage over Yale. Dartmouth has won the last 10 meetings with the Bulldogs and are 17-3 in the last 20 contests.
Rumley Claims Ivy Awards — Senior Kristen Rumley led the Dartmouth softball team to a perfect 4-0 record over the weekend and was honored by the Ivy League for her contributions with this week's Player and Co-Pitcher of the Week Award. Rumley's pitching recognition is her second in straight weeks as the Dartmouth ace moved her shutout streak to 26 innings until it was erased in the weekend's finale against Cornell when she allowed two runs in a relief appearance after back-to-back series opening wins against Princeton and the Big Red. At the plate, Rumley hit .615 in 13 at bats with eight hits, two doubles, two home runs and seven runs batted in. In four games, Rumley recorded at least a hit and had three in the opener on Friday against the Tigers. She recorded three RBIs and a double in the second game on both days. Against Cornell, Rumley knocked her first and second home runs of the season and scored three runs. Inside the circle, Rumley finished with 18 strikeouts in 16.3 innings of work. The Big Green starter has lowered her earned run average from 3.39 in non-conference to 2.56 in eight league games. Rumley has only allowed four earned runs in 35.0 innings and is 5-1 with a 0.80 ERA in Ancient Eight games.

Cornell Recap — The Dartmouth softball team picked up another pair of wins on Saturday afternoon to move over .500 for the first time this season, as the Big Green defeated Cornell, 3-0 and 15-10, in Ivy League play. Rumley dazzled inside the circle and moved her shutout streak to 26 innings with a nine-hit complete game in the opener. The streak was ended in the second game when she allowed one earned run in 2.2 innings of relief. Rumley was a key on the offensive end hitting a pair of home runs and scoring four runs. Sophomore Karen Chaw had another big day at the plate in the nightcap and finished with five runs batted in and a homer. Sophomore Maddie Damore had three RBIs in the second game, as the Big Green produced a season-high 15 runs.
Princeton Recap — Dartmouth began the weekend with a pair of wins over South Division leading Princeton, 5-0 and 8-0 (five innings). Chaw hit a pair of homers and finished with three runs batted in. Damore did her part launching a three-run homer late in game two down the left field line. Junior leadoff hitter Katie McEachern nailed one of the longest and hardest shots over the scoreboard in dead center and added three more hits and finished with four RBIs on the day. Rumley (8-10) tossed a beautiful four-hit shutout with seven strikeouts to open the doubleheader. Rumley has not allowed a run in the last 19 innings and mowed down her last three opponents giving up six hits with 21 strikeouts. Junior Morgan McCalmon (4-1) was also impressive in the nightcap allowing three hits with six strikeouts and one walk over four innings. Sophomore Ashley Sissel completed the second game with a scoreless fifth.
McEachern Top 10 — Since moving from the three spot to leadoff, McEachern's batting average has jumped to .479 after she hit .343 in the first 14 games. In the last 13 contests, McEachern is hitting an astonishing .611 with 22 hits in 36 at bats.
