Ivy League Championship Series Notes

In all eight previous championship series, the host institution has won all eight.
This is the third time Dartmouth and Penn will compete for the league's automatic bid.
Dartmouth is making its fourth appearance in the Ivy Championship Series (2009, 2013, 2014, 2015).
Penn is making its fifth appearance in the Ivy Championship Series (2007, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015).
Dartmouth and Harvard are the only two teams to represent the North Division.
Penn, Princeton and Cornell have represented the South Division.

We Meet Again -— Dartmouth will meet Penn for the third straight time in the 2015 Ivy League Championship Series. The Big Green and Quakers met in the 2013 and 2014 title series with the Quakers taking the first meeting and the Big Green winning their first crown in 2014.

San Diego Smash — Katie McEachern leads the Big Green and the Ivies with a .451 batting average and tops the team with 10 home runs and runs scored (41). McEachern's 10 homers tied her season-best from her sophomore campaign. The junior leads the Ivy League in hitting, runs scored, doubled (12), home runs, total bases (87), and walks (21).

Cha-wwww — Sophomore Karen Chaw leads the Big Green with 29 runs batted in. She is second on the team with seven home runs. In her short career, Chaw is tied for fifth in home runs in Dartmouth's career record books. Her RBIs are sixth in Dartmouth's single-season records also tying her mark as a rookie. Chaw is second on the team with a .619 slugging percentage.

Ready to RUM-ble — Senior Kristen Rumley will take the ball for game one of the championship series for the third straight time against Penn's Alexis Borden. In the 2013 series, Rumley and Borden pitched all three games and last year Rumley won both games for the Big Green while Morgan McCalmon took the loss. Borden was the pitcher of record in all three games.

All-Time Records — Dartmouth 25-22: Three games separate the Big Green and Quakers in the overall series. Over the past two seasons, these squads have met a total of 10 times (five per season).

Scouting Penn — Penn will send four players into this weekend's Ivy League Championship Series with their fourth chance of claiming an Ivy League Championship.

Alexis Borden, Jen Retzer, Sydney Turchin and Vanessa Weaver are 1-2 in the league championship series after falling as rookies to Harvard in 2012. In her Ivy postseason career, Borden is 3-5 with a 3.98 earned run average. She has allowed 29 runs with 40 strikeouts in 51 innings pitched.

This season, Borden is 11-11 with a 3.09 ERA in 142.2 innings pitched with a league-best 124 strikeouts.

Rookie Jurie Joyner leads the Quakers with a .398 batting average in 113 at bats. Joyner tops Penn with six homers and 33 runs batted in. As a team, Penn has scored 185 runs and allowed 162.
