THIS WEEKEND
After spending the past three weeks on the road, the Dartmouth women's soccer team will finally open its home schedule, hosting Vermont on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 1 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
Lucielle Kozlov scored her second game-winner in the young season, netting both Big Green goals to help the Dartmouth women's soccer team shutout Albany, 2-0, at Bob Ford Field on Thursday. Dartmouth dominated the first half, taking three shots and two corner kicks before allowing Albany to have its first touch almost 20 minutes into the period. The first play of the second 45-minute period was a header by Albany's Mariah Williams that had to be saved by goalkeeper Casey Cousineau three minutes in. The second play was a goal. Kozlov and Melanie Vangel passed the ball back-and-forth near the back line and, at 52:38, Kozlov scored inside the right post to put the Big Green up by one. Albany tried hard to get in a scoring position, outshooting Dartmouth, 5-3, in the 20 minutes following the Green's goal, but the Great Danes were not able to get the marker they needed. With less than nine minutes to play, Kozlov scored her second goal of the half, receiving the ball from Lindsay Knutson and shooting from 25 yards out.
SCOUTING THE CATAMOUNTS
Each of Vermont's five games so far this season has been decided by a single goal. Its first three games against Manhattan, Iona and Kent State were won by scores of 1-0, with the Catamounts falling in the first and claiming the other two. On Sunday, they suffered a 2-1 loss to Quinnipiac and, on Wednesday, a last second goal lifted Siena over Vermont, 3-2. Nikki McFarland leads the team with a pair of goals, while three different players have one goal each.
LAST TIME AGAINST VERMONT
On Sept. 21, 2014, Tasha Wilkins scored two goals and goalkeeper Casey Cousineau made three saves, helping the Big Green to a 4-0 shutout of the Catamounts on the road. Dartmouth came out aggressive and outshot Vermont, 21-7, and owned corner kicks, 10-1. Wilkins' first goal came in the 34th minute after Bianca Ribi had her initial shot stopped by the goalie. In the second, Kozlov finished a through ball pass from Knutson in the 57th minute. With a 2-0 lead, Dartmouth added its final two goals in a three-minute span. In the 72nd minute, Vangel regained her own rebound for her first collegiate goal and the Big Green further increased its lead on Wilkins' second tally of the night when she blasted a shot from the top of the penalty area.
RAINEY AND COMPANY
In his first season with the Big Green in 2014-15, head coach Ron Rainey compiled a record of 8-5-4 and a 3-1-3 mark in Ivy League play. Joining Rainey on the bench are Grace Barnard, who is in her second season as an assistant coach, and Cord Farmer, who joined Dartmouth after spending last season at Nevada.
CAPTAINS
The Green are led by Corey Delaney, Jackie Friedman and Kozlov, who are all entering their final season on the field. So far this season, Kozlov leads the trio with six points from three goals.

SOCCER WITHOUT BORDERS
Dartmouth Women's Soccer is teaming up with Soccer Without Borders (SWB) to help provide opportunities for under-served youth in the US and around the world to reach their potential on and off the field. Over the last seven years, 20 different Dartmouth women's soccer players ranging from the class of '00 to '18 have worked or volunteered with the program, and countless others have supported through special events, fundraising, and equipment donations. Co-Founded by Mary McVeigh '03, Soccer Without Borders is best known for its work in social inclusion, focusing its free educational programs on refugee and immigrant youth, and adolescent girls who face cultural and economic barriers to accessing sport. On September 13, the Dartmouth and Vermont women's soccer teams will dedicate their game to raising awareness for Soccer Without Borders, offering a free post-game clinic for players 12 and under. Please join us for Sunday's match and clinic to learn more about this cause.
