HANOVER, N.H. — Freshman Drew Hunnicutt hauled in nine passes for 160 yards and a touchdown, sophomore running back Porter Ontko ran for 126 yards and a touchdown on just eight carries, freshman quarterback Bruce Dixon IV hit on 17-of-24 passes for 203 yards in a half of action, and freshman linebacker Jake Moen posted 18 tackles as the Dartmouth junior varsity used a big fourth quarter to pound Middlebury Sunday on Memorial Field, 35-3.
Dixon drove the Big Green 96 yards in 13 plays before Rashaad Cooper ran in from the 3 with 16 seconds to go for the only points of the first half.
Middlebury made it 7-3 on a 29-yard field early in the second half but those would be the final points until Dartmouth racked up 28 in the final period.
Hunnicutt made it 14-3 when he collected a pass from freshman Harry Kraft and sprinted to the end zone for a 14-3 lead.
Forest Town then ran in from the 4 to make it 21-3.
Bun Stratton blocked a punt and a J.J. Jefferies recovered in the end zone for a 28-3 lead with 2:45 remaining.
Quarterback Darryl Mobley connected with receiver Ryan Arkie for a 45-yard touchdown to end the late barrage of points.
The Dartmouth junior varsity plays the Williams jayvees at 1 p.m. on Memorial Field.
