HANOVER, N.H. – The 47th Annual Dartmouth Relays are set to take over Leverone Field House this weekend.
Dartmouth's long-running home meet will kick off 2016 for the Big Green as well as for UMass Lowell, Boston College, Franklin Pierce, Middlebury and Southern Connecticut on the collegiate side. Additionally, clubs from both Canada and the U.S. will also be in attendance at the nearly half-century old meet.
A staple of the New England track & field scene, the Dartmouth Relays will also feature a plethora of high school teams competing in Hanover during the first two days of action on Friday and Saturday.
Competition gets underway Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. and will continue for the high schoolers until roughly 7 p.m. on Saturday night. MileSplit.com will be live streaming the high school portion of the meet starting at 4 p.m. on Friday afternoon and will cover all of Saturday's action as well.
The collegiate portion of the meet is set to get started Sunday at 8:30 a.m. and continue through the early evening.
Additionally, Sunday's events also feature athletes in the Masters Division as well as the wildly popular Grafton County 1-Lapper which is tentatively set for 1 p.m. on Sunday and features local youth (up to age 9) getting a chance to run on the Leverone track.
Fans can follow the entire weekend's action with live, updating results on LancerTiming.com.
Following the completion of the collegiate meet on Sunday, there will be a ceremony to announce the winning team. The Dartmouth men have been victorious in each of the last four seasons, while the women have claimed five straight titles and nine Dartmouth Relays since 2003.
Admission each day for the Dartmouth Relays is $8 for adults and $5 for individuals 18 and under.
