Men's Tennis
vs Dartmouth Invite #1

4/22/2016 8:51:00 AM | Men's Tennis
HANOVER, N.H. – The No. 38 Dartmouth men's tennis team will play its final regular season match of 2016 on Saturday, heading to Cambridge to face No. 49 Harvard at 2 p.m.
Over the weekend, the Big Green (17-8, 5-1 Ivy League) increased their winning streak to five straight with a 6-1 defeat of Brown on Friday and a 4-1 win against Yale the next day. In the latest ITA National Rankings, senior Brendan Tannenbaum and junior George Wall moved up from 70th to 61st in the country thanks to two big wins at the No. 1 position last weekend. Senior Dovydas Sakinis – who won both of his singles matches and one doubles match against Yale at No. 3 with sophomore Max Fliegner – remains ranked in singles play, sitting at No. 85.
The Crimson (16-10, 4-2 Ivy League) have also been on a bit of a run recently, winning their last four matches in a row against Penn, Princeton, Yale and Brown. Brian Yeung and Nicky Hu are ranked No. 43 in the nation in doubles action.
Although Columbia already clinched the Ivy League title with a perfect 7-0 mark, not much is settled in the next three spots. Dartmouth is currently second, Cornell is third (5-2) and Harvard is fourth, but that can all change after this weekend. Last season, the Green and the Crimson tied for second place.
