PRINCETON, N.J. – No. 52 Dartmouth women's tennis fell to No. 61 Princeton, 5-2, at the Lenz Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon. The Big Green dipped to 10-5 overall and 1-2 in Ivy League play, while the Tigers improved to 11-8 and 3-1.
At No. 2 doubles, senior Katherine Yau and sophomore Julia Schroeder had a 6-3 win and, at No. 1, the 18th-ranked pairing of junior Taylor Ng and sophomore Kristina Mathis had a 6-4 victory to clinch the first point. At the No. 3 position, junior Jacqueline Crawford and sophomore Lexxi Kiven were leading, 5-4, when the match went unfinished.
Yau won her fourth singles match in a row with a three-set victory over Katrine Steffensen at No. 2. That was the only singles point that Dartmouth won, as Princeton won the five remaining matches to wrap up the day.
On Sunday, the Big Green will face the No. 74 Quakers.
