Depth Helps Dartmouth Women Win George Mason Meet

FAIRFAX, Va. — The Dartmouth women's track & field team ran in two separate meets on Saturday. The Big Green competed at both Princeton's Sam Howell Invitational as well as the George Mason Spring Invitational.
Although the Princeton meet was non-scoring, Dartmouth took first at George Mason with 119.5 points, besting second-place Bucknell (109.75).
At George Mason, the Big Green got event wins from Jennifer Meech (24.90) in the 200m, Molly Shapiro (11.62m) in the triple jump and the 4x100m relay team (48.51) of Kaitlin Whitehorn, Sara Kikut, Anna Kikut and Meech.
A wealth of top-five finishes helped the Big Green to their meet-winning point total. Those included second-place showings from Nicole Deblasio (25.50) in the 200m, Sara Kikut (12.19) in the 100m, Meech (56.31) in the 400m, Grace Thompson (4:40.06) in the 1500m, Whitehorn (1.70m) in the high jump and the 4x400m relay (3:57.62).
