THIS WEEKEND'S GAMES
The Dartmouth field hockey team will wrap-up its four-game road trip and begin a three-game homestand with a pair of games this weekend at Yale and home against Providence.
LAST TIME OUT
The Big Green saw its two-game win streak snapped with a 3-0 defeat at Penn last Saturday afternoon.
SCOUTING YALE
- The Bulldogs are 6-5 overall as they play host to Dartmouth on Saturday during the University's Family Weekend after a 4-1 win against Bryant on Sunday.
- Despite the above-.500 record, Yale has faltered in Ivy League games, posting an 0-3 mark in conference contests. However, all three losses have come by just one goal, losing to Harvard (2-1/OT), Princeton (3-2) and Cornell (3-2).
- Senior Carol Middough leads the team with 23 points on 11 goals and one assist. She is second in the Ivy League in scoring and first in goals.
- Goalkeeper Sydney Terroso is third in the conference in save percentage (.782) and fifth in goals against average (1.94).
AGAINST THE BULLDOGS
- Saturday marks the 45th all-time meeting between the two programs.
- Dartmouth holds a 25-17-2 edge in the previous contests, but fell 7-4 in a high-scoring affair in Hanover last season.
SCOUTING PROVIDENCE
- The Friars are currently 8-5 overall, but will play a BIG EAST game against Georgetown Friday in Providence before making the trip up to Hanover for Sunday's game.
- Mikayla Michals is the team leader with 10 points, while she and Natalie Mitchell are atop the team's leaderboard for goals with four each.
- Megan Guilbert has played all 13 games and all 915 minutes of the action in the Friars' cage. She has a 1.76 goals against average and boasts a .744 save percentage in that time.
AGAINST THE FRIARS
- Dartmouth and Providence have played 10 times before Sunday's game, with the Big Green holding 6-4 advantage.
- The last meeting between the two was back in October 2015 and ended in a 5-2 Dartmouth win.
IVY LEAGUE TOP-10
- Katie Spanos ranks 10th in the league in points with 15 and is eighth in assists with five.
- Morgan Philie's two defensive saves are tied for third in the Ancient Eight.
- Goalkeeper Hailey Valerio is second in saves per game with an average of 7.60.
