Dartmouth's 5 Qualifiers Head to Kentucky for East Regional

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Five members of the Dartmouth women's track & field team are in Kentucky to compete at this week's 2017 NCAA East Regional.

The meet is set to take place at the University of Kentucky Outdoor Track and Field Complex and run from Thursday to Saturday. Regionals is the meet that individuals will look to secure a berth at the national meet in Eugene, Oregon, during the second week of June.

Senior Helen Schlachtenhaufen is the highest-seeded of any of the Big Green women competing as she is ranked 11th in the East in the 1500m (4:18.25). Freshman and Dartmouth's co-winner of the Class of 1976 Award as the top female athlete Cha'Mia Rothwell ranks 15th in the 100m hurdles (13.23).

All five of the individuals heading to Kentucky are looking to secure a spot at nationals for the first time in their respective careers.
