PRINCETON, N.J. – Dartmouth men's tennis finished the third day of the ITA Northeast Regional Championship winning five round of 64 singles, sweeping the round of 32 doubles and taking one round in the 16 doubles.
In the round of 64 singles, sophomore
Dan Martin defeated his opponent from Yale, 6-4, 6-1. Junior
David Horneffer took down Nickolas Frisk from Buffalo, 7-5, 6-4.
Junior
Charlie Broom won over Kushaan Nath of Binghamton, 6-1, 6-2, while sophomore
Peter Conklin defeated his opponent from St. Johns, 6-4, 6-3. Freshman
Sid Chari was awarded the win because his foe from Harvard was unable to play.
Dartmouth swept the round of 32 doubles. Broom and Horneffer defeated a team from Drexel, 8-3.
Roko Glasnovic and
Dan Martin took down a pair from Buffalo, 8-5. Finally, the team of Conklin and
Casey Ross won 8-3 over a pair from St. Johns,
In the round of 16 doubles, Broom and Horneffer defeated Steven Sun and Andy Zhou from Harvard, 8-3.
Dartmouth wraps up play on Sunday for the final day of the tournament.
