TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Dartmouth women's track & field team finished fourth at the 39th annual FSU Relays at Mike Long Track on Friday.
Southern Miss won the meet with 130 points, edging out second-place Florida (128) with the hosts from Florida State (119.5) finishing third. The Big Green posted 106 points, 14 more than fifth-place Auburn.
The highlight of the day for Dartmouth was undoubtedly the 5000m race that saw the team earn 24 points thanks to the top-three finishers wearing the green and white.
Julia Stevenson was first in overwhelming fashion, running a 16:27.50 to take the top spot. Second-place Olivia Lantz crossed the line in 16:58.83, more than a half-minute back of Stevenson. Lillian Anderson was the third-place finisher in 17:03.24.
The first of two other event wins came in the 2000m steeplechase as Lauren Sapone was the victor in 6:51.57. Additionally, Maria Garman was the winner of the high jump, clearing 1.72m on her second attempt.
OTHER HIGHLIGHTS:
• In addition to Garman in the high jump, Camille Landon was fourth with a clearance of 1.64m.
• Julia Valenti led the way for the women in the pole vault as she topped out at 3.95m on her second try.
• The 800m saw Claire Dougherty (2:10.53) and Abby Livingston (2:11.90).
• Bridget O'Neill was third in the 1500m, crossing in 4:27.07. Bridget Flynn was sixth in 4:29.19.
• Cha'Mia Rothwell's best attempt in the long jump was measured at 5.92m, earning her third in the field.
• Rothwell was also fourth in the 100m hurdles in 13.63.
• Nicole Deblasio was eighth in the 100m in 12.30.
