HANOVER, N.H. – Bo Oshoniyi, the Bobby Clark Head Coach of Dartmouth Men's Soccer, has announced the 2018 schedule that includes nine home games for the Big Green as the team looks to capture its fifth consecutive Ivy League title.
The 2018 season kicks off on Saturday, August 25 with a home game against Southern New Hampshire University before Dartmouth heads out to the Midwest to face Indiana and Notre Dame. Indiana played in the national championship title game last fall, and Notre Dame is a reunion of sorts as previous Big Green head coach Chad Riley is now coaching the Irish.
Sunday, September 2 the Big Green return to the east coast for a road game at UConn ending the three-game road swing. Dartmouth hosts Boston University on Tuesday, September 11 for a midweek game before playing a re-match of 2017's NCAA Second Round game against New Hampshire on Saturday, September 15 at Burnham Field.
The Big Green continue the non-conference schedule at Hofstra on Tuesday, September 18 and against UMass in Amherst on the 22nd. Dartmouth returns to Hanover to host Albany on Tuesday, September 25 before opening Ivy League action at Princeton Saturday, September 29.
With non-conference games spread throughout the year the Big Green head to Vermont for a midweek game on October 2, before returning home to begin a three-game homestand hosting Yale, Penn and Lehigh in the first two weeks of October. Dartmouth wraps up the regular season facing Columbia on the road, hosting Harvard, traveling to Cornell and then playing Brown at home for Senior Day.
Five of the teams on the Big Green's slate played in the NCAA College Cup last year, including Columbia and UMass. The Lions advanced to the second round before falling to Wake Forest, Notre Dame lost to Wisconsin after earning a first-round bye and UMass lost in the first round to Colgate.
