HANOVER, N.H. – Liam Abdalla has joined the Dartmouth men's soccer staff as the team's newest assistant coach, rounding out the staff under first year Bobby Clark Head Coach of Men's Soccer
Connor Klekota.
Abdalla, who started in late February, will work primarily with the Big Green goalkeepers.
Abdalla has spent the last three seasons at Ivy League foe Penn, coaching star goalkeeper Phillip Falcon III. The rising senior has led the conference in multiple statistics and accumulated multiple conference and national award recognitions, as well as led the Quakers to top defensive stats in the nation.
Under Abdalla, Falcon ranked first in the Ivy League in goals against average (0.84) and total shutouts (9) and second in save percentage (.771) in 2024. This past season, he ranked second in goals against average (0.58) and save percentage (8.60).
Additionally, the Quakers have ranked 16
th (2024) and 9
th (2025) nationally in goals conceded per game and ranked tenth in shutout percentage this past season. He was also a part of two regular season championships and two Ivy League Coaching Staff of the Year awards. Penn also competed in the NCAA Tournament, earning the sixth seed in 2024.
In three years in Philadelphia, Abdalla helped the Quakers to a 29-12-11 overall record.
Throughout his coaching career, Abdalla has coached three MLS Superdraft picks, one of which was a goalkeeper, an MLS Homegrown contract signee, and two additional professional contract signees.
Prior to Penn, Abdalla coached at Ursinus College from June of 2022 to March of 2023. He's also coached for the West-Mont United Soccer Association and the Elite Club National League Regional League.
In addition to making an impact on the pitch, Abdalla has also led recruiting efforts, organized camps, assisted with planning team travel, and ran individual player meetings with goalkeepers, breaking down both team, opponent, and professional clips.
Abdalla played collegiately at Alvernia College, graduating with his B.S. in Sports Management in 2022.
